At Dwell, there's a common situation we encounter.
People write us to say how they love the app but simply cannot afford the subscription.
Just recently, a grandmother emailed to say that she could no longer afford Dwell because she had to quit her job to care for her grandson during the day.
Rarely does a week go by that we don't hear from people noting that they are on a fixed income and unable to spend the extra cash.
And while we would love to share Dwell with everyone and not have to charge at all, the reality is that it's incredibly expensive to build and maintain an app, as well as compensate amazing staff, voices and guides, audio engineers, and license an ever-expanding library of content. By charging a subscription fee, we're able to keep Dwell 100% free of any advertisements that would significantly compromise the heart of the experience.
True as this may be, we are still always looking for creative ways to make Dwell accessible for anyone who wants it, and that's where you come in.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Giving to the Dwell Scholarship Fund is not tax-deductible because Dwell is not a non-profit organization. However, your contribution still makes a significant impact by sharing God's word with those in need.
Can I give a Dwell subscription to someone I know?
Currently, giving to the scholarship fund is pooled to ensure we can help as many people as possible. However, you can still gift Dwell directly to someone you know through our gifting options in your online account.
Why does Dwell charge a subscription fee?
Creating and maintaining the Dwell app is expensive. The subscription fee helps cover costs for staff, including mobile and web developers, voices and guides, audio engineers, and licensing content. It also ensures the app remains free of advertisements.
Are there any special promotions for giving?
Yes! During the month of July Dwell will add two subscriptions to the scholarship fund for every $10 given, doubling the impact of your generosity.
